Hello!
I've always been a big reader, but my sister is the one who I attribute my love of reading to. She was always the one to recommend books to me when we were younger. I wrote my first book in middle school. It was a thriller about a girl who got kidnapped. I wish I knew where that notebook was today so I could reread it.
In 2020, when the world turned upside down, I started writing what is now my debut novel. It had been an idea in my head for years, but I never put words to paper until then. I was still working a full time job so I would write late into the evenings as this story came to fruition. I actually finished the first draft in 2022 but scrapped the whole thing and started over. It was a good learning experience. When I started the second draft, that's when I truly started thinking I might want to share it with the world. My husband, Corey, encouraged me to keep going. And now, I am thrilled to be a part of the amazing author community.
Some of my current favorite books!
When I'm not writing, I love spending time outdoors. Whether that means hiking, camping, or riding my motorcycle, I love the fresh air.
My animals keep me company during the day while I write fervently at my desk. My dog, Sammy, has the attitude of a husky but the energy of a sloth. My cat, Myka, is an old lady. She's 15 and sleeps all day unless she smells food in the kitchen. And my leopard gecko, Tigger, is there for moral support while he hides in his favorite log.
